Zapallar, Chile.
_
Comissioned by the chilean diplomat Eugenia Errazuriz, this vacation house was intended to be built in Zapallar, a remote seaside village on the Chilean Pacific.

With scarce technical resources and skilled labour, in this project Le Corbusier recurred to existing elements on the surroundings and local building techniques: walls of large blocks of stone, poles of tree trunks and roofing in ceramic tiles.

"The rusticity of the materials is in no way an obstacle to the manifestation of a free plan and a modern aesthetic". Le Corbusier
